Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Epic Xperience Co Ltd (trading as Big Bang Experiences) collects and uses your personal information when you register for and take part in the EE Fast Lane Zip Line Experience. Please read it before you register.
Epic Xperience Co Ltd (trading as Big Bang Experiences), company number 16312551, registered office 68 West Street, Worsbrough, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England, S70 5DJ, is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice — this means we decide why and how it is used.

When you register for this experience, we collect:
Your full name
Your email address
Your mobile number
Your date of birth
A unique wristband/barcode ID linked to your registration
Your acceptance of the Participation Terms & Safety Declaration, and the date and time you accepted it
Your acknowledgement that photography/video forms part of the experience, and the date and time you gave it
The date and time of your registration and participation
Photographs and video taken of you during your zip line experience
We do not ask you to provide medical information, a postal address, emergency contact details, or an electronic signature as part of this process.
We collect most of this information directly from you when you register. Photographs and video are captured during your experience and are automatically linked to your registration using your wristband/barcode — there is no separate step where you provide these yourself.
We also record when you accept the Participation Terms & Safety Declaration and acknowledge the photography/video arrangements, together with the version of the terms presented to you.
We use your personal information where it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and administering the EE Fast Lane Zip Line Experience safely, providing participants with their individual experience media, maintaining appropriate participation records, and operating and protecting the systems used to provide the experience.
This includes using your information to:
register you for the experience and confirm that you meet the age requirement;
administer and record your participation;
associate your wristband/barcode with your registration;
create, associate and deliver your individual photographs and video;
send you the information needed to access your media;
operate, secure and support the registration and media-delivery system; and
investigate accidents, incidents or complaints and establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether the processing is necessary and balance our interests against your rights and interests. We take particular care where the participant is under 18.
We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
Photography and video form an integral part of this experience. We capture images and video of you taking part so that we can create and deliver your own individual experience media to you after the event. You are asked to acknowledge this as part of registration, and — because it is core to what this experience provides — you will not be able to take part without doing so.
This acknowledgement relates only to creating and delivering your own experience media. It does not give EE or Epic Xperience Co Ltd permission to use identifiable images or video of you for advertising, social media or other promotional purposes. If that is ever wanted, it would be asked for separately and would be entirely your choice.
This registration process is separate from any EE prize draw or other marketing activity you may take part in independently of this experience.
We share your information with the technical providers who help us run this experience — for example, the companies that provide our cloud storage and email delivery — who act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
EE does not have direct access to the participant registration database. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Photographs and video are initially processed on local systems at the event and are then uploaded to secure cloud storage hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in its London (UK) region for delivery to you.
The cloud storage used for your photographs and videos is located in the UK. Where we use other service providers to support the delivery of the service, your information will be handled in accordance with the safeguards described in this Privacy Notice.
Your photographs and video are available to you for 30 days following your experience, after which they are deleted from the delivery system.
Your registration and participation record will be retained for the period required for insurance, claims, legal and regulatory purposes. Certain information may also be retained where required to meet our accounting and tax record-keeping obligations.
Where information relates to an accident, incident, complaint or claim, it may be retained for longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not keep personal information for longer than is necessary for these purposes.
Your media is not publicly browsable. Access to your individual photographs and video is provided through the secure media-delivery system, and access to our administrative systems is limited to authorised people who need it to run and support the experience.
This experience is available to participants aged 13 and over. We ask for your date of birth at registration to confirm this, and registration cannot be completed if you are under 13.
If you are aged 13 to 17, you are still considered a child for data protection purposes, and we have designed this registration process with that in mind — for example, by keeping the information we ask for to the minimum needed to run the experience and deliver your media, and by not asking you to provide any information beyond what is set out in this notice.
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:
ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
ask us to delete your information where we do not have a valid reason to keep it; and
object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@bigbangexperiences.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled.
We do not use the information you provide as part of this registration process for marketing purposes.
We may update this notice from time to time — for example, if the way we run this experience changes. The version available at the time you register is the one that applies to you.
